I just love combining people with nature to create beautiful portraits. Nature provides photographers with a diverse array of colorful backgrounds. That's why it's my favorite playground for photography.

Instrument of Love

It's been a while since I sat down and wrote a poem. I became inspired by a friend's Facebook posting that included the line "I am an instrument." Somehow that got my creative juices flowing to put this together.


Instrument of Love

I am an instrument of love
With heart's melodic tunes
Waiting to be sung aloud

Released upon your whispers
And flowing from your touch
Gliding amongst the breeze

Settling into your soul
Attuning to your heartbeats
A symphony composed

Pelicans

While out on a photo session this past weekend I came across this amazing pelican at the Santa Monica Pier. I'd never been so close to one before... and what a great photo opp. He kept posing as if he was enjoying the attention!
