Baby Makes Five

I had the privilege of shooting the Gastelum family's holiday photos again this year. This time a new baby was tossed into the mix along with a set of twins, the family dog and the parents. Whew! The setting was casual due to all the fun everyone was having while trying to get in sync for the photos. Needless to say I always have a blast shooting photos for this family.

Karla - Senior Photo Session

When I arrived for Karla's Senior Photo Session, I already knew that we'd be shooting at some old gas pumps I had scoped out previously. I had also asked her to have another area in mind, nearby, that we could hop over to for a little variety. Once we were finished at the pumps, we headed over to the nearby library. What a great location!

During our session, Karla was eager to help me scope out places for posing. We had an amazing variety to choose from. Colorful doors, gorgeous trees, water fountain. Full of energy and excitement, she was always willing to jump right into any pose I suggested. Together, we created some amazing images.

WPPI 2011

A month has come and gone since attending my first WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) event. I met some great people and brought home some incredible marketing ideas that I'll be implementing over these next few months. I thought I'd share my fave photos from my trip out to sin city (a.k.a. Las Vegas). Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to spend outside in the fresh air (which I will certainly make more time for next year) but I did get some pics of thee Nigel Barker for your viewing pleasure. (And yes, he's now growing out his hair.)

  

One Talented Musician

Last month I had the opportunity to hear Kai Brown play at Tommy Bahamas in Newport Beach. What a talent! With my camera in tow, I thought I'd try my hand at capturing him in the act of strumming his guitar (and sometimes his ukulele) while swooning his audience with his soothing voice.

A Day at the Park

Last week I had the opportunity to shoot Everlyn at a local park, combining my two favorite elements - people and nature. Needless to say, this was a fun photo shoot for me and I feel these photos truly showcase my love of shooting on location.

Winter Wonderland

Towards the end of December I had the opportunity to participate in a fun photo shoot that was themed, "Winter Wonderland."
